Respiratory Therapist (RT) – Travel Assignment


Location: Trios Health – Kennewick, Washington
Shift: 3x12 Nights (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks (91 days)
Start Date: 07/06/2026
End Date: 10/05/2026
Position: 1 Opening

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist (RT) to provide comprehensive respiratory care across all patient populations, including neonates, pediatrics, and adults. The RT will respond to codes, manage ventilatory support, and provide critical respiratory interventions in a fast-paced acute care teaching hospital.

Facility Overview

  • 111-bed acute care teaching hospital
  • Trauma Level II facility
  • Serves Tri-Cities: Kennewick, Pasco, Richland (Washington)
  • Multiple care areas: ICU, Med-Surg, NICU, ER
  • EHR system in place
  • Broad patient population (neonate to adult)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory care for all age groups (neonate to adult)
  • Respond to codes and emergency situations
  • Manage ventilator support and respiratory therapies
  • Perform assessments and implement respiratory treatment plans
  • Work in ICU, NICU, ER, and Med-Surg settings as needed
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams

Required Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy (minimum)
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience preferred
  • Ability to work across all patient populations
  • Strong critical care experience (ICU/NICU preferred)

Required Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • Core Mandatory Allied Exams (Parts I, II, III)
  • Respiratory Therapy Skills & Exam Completion

Schedule & Unit Details

  • Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
  • Weekend requirement: Yes
  • No call requirement
  • Float across ICU, NICU, ER, Med-Surg as needed

 

 

Must be comfortable responding to neonatal through adult codes Equipment includes PB980, EV300 ventilators, Airvo Scrubs required (any color acceptable) Fast-paced, high-acuity teaching hospital environment Coverage for leave assignment.
