Long Term Care (LTC) RN – Travel Assignment
Location: Hawaii (Long Term Care Facility – Hospital Based)
Shift: Varied 3x12 Rotation (8-hour equivalent coverage noted; schedule may vary)
Contract Length: 13 weeks (91 days)
Start Date: 07/27/2026
End Date: 10/26/2026

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Long Term Care Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive care for elderly and long-term care residents in a hospital-based LTC facility. The RN will be responsible for assessments, treatments, medication administration, and ongoing patient monitoring in a flexible, fast-paced environment.
This assignment requires adaptability due to variable scheduling and fluctuating census.
Facility Overview
- Hospital-based Long Term Care unit
- Hawaii location
- Skilled nursing environment
- No guaranteed hours (census-dependent scheduling)
- Must be flexible with shifts, weekends, and holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments
- Administer medications and treatments
- Notify MD/NP of patient condition changes
- Assist with ADLs and daily care needs
- Provide wound care, including wound vac management
- Manage gastrostomy tubes, urinary catheters, tracheostomy care
- Provide nebulizer and CPAP treatments
- Support admissions and discharges
- Deliver emotional and physical support to patients and families
Required Qualifications
- Active RN License (Hawaii RN License required before start date)
- BLS Certification
- Minimum LTC or SNF experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends/holidays
- Must be willing to work variable schedule
Required Certifications & Exams
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- RN State License (Hawaii required prior to start)
- Core Mandatory Nursing Exams (Parts I, II, III)
- RN Pharmacology Exam (A)
Schedule & Assignment Requirements
- Varied 3x12 rotation (or equivalent 8-hour shifts)
- Flexible scheduling required
- Weekend and holiday coverage required
- Must arrive Thursday prior to start for onboarding/employee health
