Schedule & Requirements

• Position: Registered Nurse I (RN I) – LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum)
• Facility: Cibola General Hospital
• Shift: 12-Hour Rotating Nights
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week

Required Experience

• ADN required; BSN preferred
• Current New Mexico RN License or Multi-State Compact License
• Experience in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum nursing
• Experience with maternal and newborn assessments
• Knowledge of sterile technique and sterile field maintenance
• Strong critical care, communication, and patient education skills

Required Certifications

✔ BLS (AHA)
✔ ACLS
✔ NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
✔ Intermediate Fetal Monitoring

Certifications Required Within 12 Months

✔ OPS Emergency Workshop
✔ STABLE Certification

Preferred Certifications

✔ SAFER NM Technician Certification

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
• Provide labor support and assist throughout the delivery process
• Perform postpartum and newborn assessments
• Monitor fetal well-being and maternal status
• Educate patients and families regarding pregnancy, childbirth, and newborn care
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams
• Supervise ancillary staff and delegate appropriately
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Float to other departments when required
