Total Beds: 54 (including 11 dedicated Ortho/Spine beds)
Patient Ratios:
- RN: 1:5–6
- PCT: 1:12–15
Team Model: RN/LPN collaboration (10 patients per team)
Support Staff: Unit secretaries (weekdays until 8 PM), PCTs, nurse externs
Charting System: Meditech

🩺 Patient Population

General Medical-Surgical patients
Orthopedic & Spine cases (dedicated unit)
Trauma (stable)
Psych medical hold patients
Post-procedure patients (non-interventional caths, lap appy/chole, etc.)
Dialysis (HD & peritoneal), wound care, and more

🔧 Equipment & Technology

Alaris IV pumps
Remote telemetry & continuous pulse oximetry
Specialty beds & transfer equipment
Wound vacs, chest tubes, feeding tubes
Advanced Tools:
- Teletracking (bed placement)

📋 Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care
Perform thorough assessments and prioritize care effectively
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Manage diverse Med-Surg patient assignments
Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech
Adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment

✅ Requirements

Must-Have:

Minimum 1–2 years of Med-Surg RN experience
Active RN License
BLS Certification (Required)
Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
Ability to adapt quickly and work independently

Preferred:

ACLS Certification
