MRI Technologist - Garner, NC

Job Type

• Contract Clinician
• 12-hour day shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Perform high-quality MRI studies ensuring patient safety.
• Operate imaging equipment, including GE 1.5T or other vendor scanners.
• Conduct advanced MR studies independently.
• Interview patients to explain MRI procedures and address concerns with tact and courtesy.
• Pre-screen patients for contraindications and perform aseptic injection techniques.
• Troubleshoot MRI scanner and peripheral equipment to prevent downtime.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and other customers.
• Train new technologists and patient coordinators as needed.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT (MR) certification preferred.
• Venipuncture certification required.
• BLS CPR Certification through the American Heart Association required.
• Valid state driver’s license and state license as applicable.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of MRI experience in high-volume environments preferred.
• Technical proficiency with MRI equipment, including GE 1.5T.
• Ability to work independently and manage customer interactions effectively.
• Strong patient care skills with ability to explain complex medical terms clearly.
• Local travel may be required.

• Candidates must be able to work as 1099 contractors.
