Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer Travel Contract - Chicago, IL

Position Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Echocardiography)
• Employment Type: Travel / Contract
• Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Contract Length: 12 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer
• Cardiac Sonographer experience within the last year
• Current certification as Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA or RQI accepted)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or RQI accepted)
• Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences or related field

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Education verification of highest degree completed (minimum high school diploma or equivalent)
• Employment history covering 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days
• Background checks including SSN trace, federal and state criminal, sex offender, OIG, SAM, EPLS/GSA within 30 days of start
• Facility-specific agreements including confidentiality, information security, cannabis acknowledgement, and sexual harassment training (updated annually)
• Completion of required health documents and vaccination accommodation forms if applicable
• OSHA Respiratory Safety clearance if fit test is failed

• Candidates must be prepared to complete all required documentation and training modules promptly to avoid delays in start date.

• Candidates must be physically present in Illinois to complete fingerprinting for the Illinois Healthcare Worker Registry.
