Passionate about student success and mental health? Cross Country Education is seeking a Certified or Licensed School Social Worker to provide the support a diverse K-12 student population needs to succeed this 2026 -2027 school year in beautiful Sebring, FL.

 

Position Overview: 

  • Participate actively in Child Study, Collaborative Problem Solving, and IEP committees to identify student needs, interpret social/developmental histories, and develop integrated intervention plans.
  • Observe, interview, and assess students in school and home settings to deliver targeted remedial services and maintain an active community resource directory to connect families with vital support agencies.
  • Formulate long- and short-range plans aligned with district, state, and federal requirements while meticulously maintaining comprehensive casework documentation, reports, and student records.
  • Identify and address school-related behavioral, social, or emotional issues early on, creating a supportive environment that maximizes student engagement and academic success.

Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree or higher in Social Work/Social Welfare
    • Bachelor’s Degree acceptable only with a current School Social Worker Certification
  • Active Florida School Social Worker Certification OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Credential
  • Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting (Preferred)
