Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist

Position: Medical Technologist (MT) / Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)
Department: Clinical Laboratory (702F)
Location: 1200 Northside Forsyth Drive, Cumming 30041
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks

Schedule

• Night Shift
• 8:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• 4 x 10-hour shifts per week
• 40 hours per week
• Variable scheduling as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist within a clinical laboratory setting
• One of the following certifications required:
  • ASCP
  • NCA
  • AMT
  • AAB
  • HHS
• Experience in a clinical laboratory environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing and specimen analysis
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
• Analyze and verify test results for accuracy and quality
• Follow laboratory safety, quality assurance, and regulatory standards
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of laboratory findings
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to support patient diagnosis and treatment

• Facility will only consider Medical Technologists (MT) and Medical Laboratory Scientists (MLS)
• Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) will not be considered
