Description
Empower a student to reach their full potential and be a champion for student success in Tolland County! Cross Country Education is hiring both full-time and part-time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide dedicated 1:1 support to students in Stafford Springs, CT during the 2026-2027 school year.
Position Overview:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 nursing support to a student, ensuring safety, comfort, and access to educational activities throughout the school day.
- Monitor health needs, including seizure protocols, medication support, and adaptive equipment utilization.
- Assist with mobility support, transfers, and gait-trainer use while maintaining a safe and dignified learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and related service providers to support the student's participation in classroom and school activities.
Qualifications:
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License
- Valid CPR, First Aid, and AED Certifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to safely lift and transfer up to 50 lbs
- Experience working in educational, pediatric, or healthcare settings (Preferred)
