Description
Job Title: RN – ICU (Travel Assignment)
Facility: UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s – Downtown
Location: 801 5th St, Sioux City, IA 51101
Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: July 20, 2026
Hours: 36–48 hours/week (OT rules vary by assignment)
Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
Floating: May float within ICU/critical care units across campuses
EMR: Epic
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment at UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s – Downtown in Sioux City, IA. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients in a fast-paced hospital environment while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct, high-acuity nursing care to ICU patients
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions in Epic EMR
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per ICU protocols
- Manage ventilators, drips, and critical care equipment
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Respond to emergencies and rapid changes in patient status
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with hospital policies
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years ICU experience (required)
- Active RN license (Iowa or Compact License accepted)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA required)
- CPI certification required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Strong critical care and clinical assessment skills
- First-time travelers accepted
