Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30)
Pay: 1400$/ Week

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, storage, and distribution of surgical instruments, medical devices, and supplies. This role ensures compliance with infection control standards, manufacturer instructions, and facility policies to support safe patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Receive, transport, and sort soiled surgical instruments and devices from clinical areas.

Perform manual and mechanical cleaning, disinfection, and decontamination of instruments and equipment.

Inspect instruments for damage, wear, and proper function; repair or remove from service as needed.

Assemble instrument trays, sets, and procedure packs according to established checklists and surgeon preferences.

Load, operate, and monitor sterilization equipment (steam autoclaves, low-temperature sterilizers), perform biological and chemical indicators, and document results.

Maintain accurate tracking and documentation of instrument sets, sterilization cycles, and quality control records.

What are expected ratios? 1
Special requirements: SPM knowledge a must, all modalities of sterilization except ETO. Variable days, shift is 0700-1730
Are 48 hours approved: No
