✨ Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Augusta, GA, working within a specialized Labor & Delivery OR PACU setting. This role is ideal for nurses with strong post-anesthesia recovery experience who are comfortable caring for adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced inpatient environment.

📅 Assignment Details
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: 14 weeks
- Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)
- Shift: Days | 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: Yes, within facility and scope as needed
- Call: Not specified
🏥 Unit & Facility Details
- Unit: L&D OR PACU (Phase I & II Recovery)
- Patient Ratio: 1:1
- Beds: 8
- Average Daily Census: 12 patients
- Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
- Charting System: Epic (Required), Pyxis, SBAR
Support Services Include: IV Team, Respiratory Therapy, Pharmacy, Social Services, Rapid Response Team
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care to surgical patients in PACU
- Perform comprehensive pre-op and post-op assessments
- Monitor patients recovering from general, local, spinal, and epidural anesthesia
- Administer medications including opioids, emergency meds, anticoagulants, and vasopressors
- Manage pain control, airway, and hemodynamic stability
- Perform EKGs, IV therapy, blood product administration, and line management
- Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
✅ Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of PACU RN experience (Required)
- Travel experience required (No first-time travelers)
- BLS & ACLS Certifications (Required)
- Strong experience with Phase I & II PACU recovery
- Experience in L&D OR PACU or similar surgical recovery settings preferred
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
