Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)- Night
Duration: 12 Months
Location: MacClenny, FL 32063 (3 days a week, 12 hr. shifts)
Onsite/Hybrid/Remote: 3 Days onsite (7pm-7:30am - 30 min unpaid lunch)
Interview: In Person Only
Rate is $62/hr on W2 (With no benefits)
Job Description:
Are you able to work 16 hr shifts, as needed?
Did you attach the State of Florida RN license?
Are you already CPR certified? If so, did you attach a copy of the certification?
Are you able to attend 2 full weeks of new employee orientation (Monday - Friday) 8am - 4:30pm?
Are you aware this is a contract/temporary position, and the agency does not offer benefits including PTO and paid holidays?
You are up to date? Does it include at least 7 years of complete work history with an explanation for all gaps in employment?
This is Nightshift do you accept? 7pm to 7:30am? (30 min unpaid lunch)

TYPE OF PATIENTS: The hospital accepts adults 18 and older whose needs can’t be met through treatment in a community-based program. The program provides evaluation, assessment, and treatment to clients who are deemed not guilty due to insanity or who are incompetent and can’t proceed with criminal proceedings.
BACKGROUND SCREENING: Candidate must go in person to the facility and complete level 2 fingerprinting background screening.
ORIENTATION: Orientation Requirements: No call outs during orientation will be accepted. Restarting NEO or the ability to continue will be at the facility’s discretion. See documents attached on the Reference Tab to share with candidates cleared for orientation.
LEAVE REQUESTS: Once agency staff begin employment, no leave requests will be accepted during the first eight (8) weeks of employment.
PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT: Facial piercings and cell phone usage are not permitted on any living area or during orientation. They will be dismissed.
DRIVING REQUIREMENT:
Contractors will be required to drive state vehicles transporting patients to outside facility doctor appointments and hospitals. Some may be required to be a "sitter" with the patient during an outside hospital stay.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be at least 18 years of age at time of hire.
2. Must hold unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse.
3. One year of nursing experience, strongly preferred.
4. Must be CPR certified, or able to complete training.
5. Must be able to complete full orientation at time of hire.
6. Must be able to fulfill physical requirements of position including ability to lift and carry 20 lbs., remain alert while on duty, and work 16-hour shifts on occasion.
CANDIDATE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assess resident complaints and determine action, notifying supervisor when necessary.
2. Admit and transfer residents to and from other units or outside sources
3. Administer oral and/or injectable medication and controlled medications in accordance with facility policy, and within their scope of practice as defined by Florida law.
4. Observe for side effects or adverse effects to medication and report to provider for further assessment and treatment.
5. Prepare paperwork as required for consults within facility and outside appointments.
6. Coordinates residents’ appointments with unit staff to ensure medications are appropriately timed as need for resident movement to and from the unit.
7. Provide emergency medical/psychiatric treatment within scope of practice as defined by facility and Florida law and notifying supervisor for further assistance.
8. Complete incident reports factually and objectively, within the appropriate time frame as defined by the facility.
