MedSurg/Telemetry RN | Chesapeake, VA

Position Overview

Unit: 6 South MedSurg/Telemetry
Shift: Days, 3x12s (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks (Extension Possible)
Auto Offer Position
Float Required
Holiday Coverage Required During Contract
Candidate may choose:
- 3x12 Schedule
- 4x12 Schedule
OT Paid After 48 Hours

Required Experience

Minimum 2 years recent MedSurg/Telemetry experience
Prior Travel Experience Required
Neurology/Stroke patient experience within the last 2 years
Telemetry interpretation experience
IV Start experience

Required Certifications

BLS (AHA)
ACLS (AHA)
NIHSS

License Requirements

Active Virginia RN License OR Compact RN License
License must be in hand at submission
No pending licenses accepted

EMR Requirement

EPIC proficiency required (Hard Stop)

Important Facility Requirements

Chesapeake will NOT consider candidates with any license or background hits.
Patient ratio is 1:7. Candidate must be pre-closed and comfortable with this ratio before submission.
