Must-Have Requirements

✅ Minimum 1 year Med/Surg/Telemetry experience
✅ BLS required
✅ First-time travelers accepted
✅ Strong competency in:

• Phlebotomy
• IV insertion/placement
• Dysrhythmia interpretation & management
• Rapid Response Team participation
• Peripheral IV care
• Oxygen therapy (nasal cannula, face masks, portable oxygen)
• Non-invasive airway management
• Isolation precautions

Patient Population

• Cardiac patients
• Stroke patients

Ratios

Days: 5:1 (may stretch to 6–7:1)
Nights: 6–7:1 (may stretch to 8–10:1 if staffing shortages occur)

Unit Support

• PCTs assist with:
  • Vital signs
  • Blood glucose checks
  • EKGs
  • Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)

Floating Requirements

✅ Must be willing to float within scope to:

• Med/Surg
• ICU
• ED

Scheduling

• Every Other Weekend (EOW)
• No On-Call
• Block scheduling may be accommodated but not guaranteed
• No Holiday RTO allowed
• Maximum 7 days RTO

Additional Details

• Epic preferred
• Hoyer lift experience preferred
• Scrub Colors: Navy and White combination
• No local candidates within 75 miles

Ideal Candidate

A Med/Surg Tele RN with strong telemetry, IV start, and phlebotomy skills who is comfortable caring for cardiac and stroke patients, floating to multiple units, and working in a fast-paced acute care environment. Candidates should be flexible, team-oriented, and comfortable with higher patient ratios when census or staffing requires.
