Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule: 3x12s | 36 Hours Per Week

Unit Overview
This is a high-acuity, mixed Cardiac and Medical ICU that cares for critically ill patients requiring advanced monitoring and life-support interventions.
Common Patient Population:
Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA)
Acute Respiratory Failure
Myocardial Infarction (MI)
CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Graft) Recovery
Ventilator-Dependent Patients
Cardiac and Medical ICU Patients
Required Experience
Candidates must have hands-on experience with:
Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps (IABP)
Impella Devices
Post-Operative Cardiovascular Surgery Patients
Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
Ventilator Management
Critical Care / ICU Nursing
Requirements
Active RN License (State License or Compact License)
BLS Certification (AHA)
ACLS Certification (AHA)
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Previous Cardiac ICU Experience
Experience managing complex critical care patients
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and emergency response skills

Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
36 Guaranteed Hours Per Week
Every Other Weekend Required
No On-Call Requirement
No Floating Required
Block Scheduling Not Available
Nurse-to-Patient Ratios
ICU Patients: 2:1
IMCU Patients within ICU: 4:1
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive critical care nursing utilizing the nursing process.
Monitor and manage critically ill patients requiring advanced cardiac and respiratory support.
Administer medications, titrate drips, and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
Perform detailed patient assessments and document findings accurately.
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery goals.
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and evidence-based practices.
