Schedule & Requirements
- Position: Med-Surg RN
- Facility: Baptist Medical Center South
- Location: Montgomery, Alabama
- Shift: 12-Hour Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36/48
- First-Time Travelers: Accepted
Required Certifications
✔ BLS
✔ NIHSS
Required Experience
✔ Minimum 18 Months Recent Med-Surg and/or ICU Experience
✔ EPIC or Cerner Experience Required
✔ If ICU-Only Experience, Cerner Experience Required
Preferred Experience
✔ Telemetry Experience (Highly Preferred)
✔ Trauma Experience
✔ Surgical Patient Experience
✔ Oncology Experience (for 5 North Unit)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive Med-Surg nursing care
- Perform patient assessments and medication administration
- Manage drains, chest tubes, PEGs, NGTs, and wound care
- Interpret telemetry strips every 4 hours
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Document care accurately in Cerner/Epic
- Float to similar acuity units as assigned
