Description
Schedule: 3x12 Nights
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Hours: 36 Hours Per Week
Start Date: ASAP

Unit Information
- 12-Bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU)
- Patient Ratios: 1:4 to 1:6
- Equipment: Natus Xltek
- Documentation: Natus Xltek and Meditech
- Rotating Weekends Required
- No On-Call
- Department operates 24/7/365
- Performs EEGs at Medical City Dallas and Heart & Spine Hospital
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years of EEG experience
- Proficient in routine and STAT EEG procedures
- Proficient with continuous video EEG hookup and monitoring
- Experience with Collodion and Paste application methods
- Ability to place electrodes using the 10/20 Electrode Measurement System
- Experience working with Neonatal, Pediatric, and Adult patients
- Experience with Critical Care patients
Preferred Experience
- Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.) through ABRET
- Experience monitoring continuous video EEG studies
- Ability to identify abnormal EEG waveforms and escalate findings appropriately
- Experience with Elective EMU Patients
- Experience monitoring Stereo EEGs
Procedures Performed
- Inpatient EEGs at bedside
- Continuous Video EEG Monitoring
- Outpatient EEG Procedures
- Evoked Potential (EP) Procedures
- EEG Services for Multiple HCA Facilities
- EEG Monitoring for NICU, PICU, CHSU, BMT, NVICU, MICU, and other Critical Care Units
Requirements
- Experience with Neonates, Pediatrics, and Adult populations
- Strong critical thinking and patient care skills
- Ability to educate and comfort patients and families
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Staff constantly switched. My documents weren't sent to the school, resulting in a months lost pay. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get on touch with anyone to answer questions. I have been attempting to reach them for over a month with absolutely no response! They lose paperwork (tests, immunizations, background checks and fingerprints) resulting in even more lost work.
