Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer (MFM) – 13-Week Contract
 

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Sonographer for a 13-week contract assignment in a high-risk OB clinic. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with strong experience in advanced fetal imaging, maternal-fetal assessments, and obstetrical ultrasound procedures.
 

Requirements
 

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of recent Sonography experience required
• First-time travelers accepted

Required Certifications

• ARDMS (OB) Certification
• Fetal Echocardiography (FE) Certification Required

Required Clinical Experience

• High-Risk Obstetrics
• Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM)
• Obstetrics

Required Equipment Experience

• GE Voluson E10 Ultrasound System

Required Fetal Imaging Skills

Candidates must be proficient in assessing:

• Abdomen
• Abdominal Circumference
• Bone Lengths
• Cerebellum
• Ventricles
• Diaphragm
• Duodenal Atresia / Intussusception
• Fingers and Toes
• Gender Determination
• Head and Cardiac Anatomy

Required OB/GYN Skills

• First, Second, and Third Trimester Ultrasounds
• Amniotic Fluid Index (AFI)
• Fetal Anatomical Surveys
• Fetal Echocardiography
• Inter/Intra-Orbital Measurements
• Multiple Gestations
• Nuchal Translucency Screening
• Placenta Previa Evaluations
• Umbilical Cord Doppler Studies

Preferred Qualifications

• Amniocentesis experience
• PACS experience

Assignment Details

• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Schedule: 8-Hour Day Shifts
• Shift Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Weekly Hours: 40 Hours
• Call Requirement: None
• Weekend Requirement: None
• Float Requirement: None

Patient Diagnoses

This clinic specializes in high-risk pregnancy care and performs advanced maternal-fetal imaging for conditions and evaluations including:

• Fetal Echocardiography
• Advanced Maternal Age (AMA)
• Transvaginal Cervical Length (TVCL)
• Growth Assessments
• Anatomy Scans
• Level II Ultrasounds
• Biophysical Profiles (BPP)

Special Procedures

• Amniocentesis
• Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS)

Daily Workload

• Average of 5–8 scans per day

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Maternal Fetal Medicine and High-Risk Obstetrics, be comfortable performing advanced fetal imaging studies, and possess excellent patient care and communication skills in a specialized clinical environment.
