Description

Travel RN – CVICU

Location: Reston, VA
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule: 3x12-Hour Shifts (36 Hours/Week)
Weekend Requirement: 3 Weekend Shifts Every 4 Weeks
Experience Required: Minimum 2 Years of Recent CVICU Experience

Compensation

W2 Taxable Rate: $26.00/hr
Non-Taxable Weekly Stipend: $1,558.74
Estimated Weekly Gross (36 Hours): $2,494.74

Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
4-Bed Unit
Patient Ratios:
- 1:1 Immediate Post-Cardiac Surgery Recovery
- 1:2 Post-Operative Days 1–3
Primary Nursing Model
EMR: Meditech Expanse

Required Experience

Candidates must have:

1–2 Years of Recent Experience Recovering Fresh Cardiac Surgery Patients
Direct Primary Recovery Experience in a CVICU Setting

Required Certifications

ACLS

Advanced Skills Required

Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) Management
Impella Device Experience
Hemosphere or Acumen Monitoring Experience
Advanced Hemodynamic Monitoring

Floating

May float to other units as needed
Will assume the same patient ratio as the receiving unit
