Schedule & Requirements

• Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

• Contract Length: 89 days (13 weeks)

   

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of current RN experience
• Recent IMC/PCU experience
• Experience caring for surgical patients (pre-operative and post-operative)
• Dysrhythmia management experience
• Experience with telemetry and intermediate care patient populations

Preferred Experience

• EPIC charting experience
• 1–2 prior travel assignments
• Surgical PCU/IMC experience involving Urology, Thoracic, or General Surgery patients
• ACLS certification

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Current RN License
• BLS Certification
• IMC/PCU experience required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to surgical, urology, and thoracic patients in an Intermediate Care setting.
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and monitor changes in condition.
• Manage and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry monitoring.
• Deliver pre-operative and post-operative bedside care.
• Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions according to physician orders.
• Monitor patients requiring continuous vital sign surveillance and advanced monitoring.
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Assist with patient transfers and transitions across levels of care.
