Shift & Schedule
- Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Rotating weekend coverage required
- Flexible scheduling options available based on candidate availability
Position Overview
We are seeking a Registered Dietitian to provide comprehensive nutrition care to both inpatient and outpatient populations. This role involves developing and implementing individualized nutrition plans, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and supporting community education initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ nutritional status and develop individualized care plans
- Implement Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT)
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams
- Provide nutrition education to patients and the community
- Participate in training and performance improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with standards
Requirements
- Registered Dietitian (RD) – Required
- Active Dietitian license in Washington, DC – Required
- Bachelor’s Degree – Required
- 1–2 years of clinical nutrition experience, preferably in an acute care setting – Required
- BLS certification (AHA) required upon hire or within 90 days
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer and typing skills required
