Schedule & Requirements

• Shift: Day Shift, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Location: Alaska Regional Hospital, Anchorage, AK
• EMR: Epic

Required Experience

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with Operating Room experience
• Strong experience in:
  • Da Vinci Xi Robotic Surgery
  • Spinal Fusion (Orthopedic and/or Neuro)
  • Orthopedics, including Total Joint Arthroplasty
• Experience with:
  • Total Joint Replacements
  • Multi-level Spine Fusions
  • Robotic GYN, Colorectal, and General Surgery cases
• Patient advocacy and teamwork skills

Required Certifications

• NBSTSA Certification (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments.
• Scrub and assist during orthopedic, neuro, robotic, and general surgical procedures.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and provide instruments and supplies during surgery.
• Ensure proper handling, counting, and sterilization of surgical instruments.
• Support patient safety and infection prevention practices.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, RNs, anesthesia providers, and surgical team members.
• Participate in on-call coverage for emergency surgical procedures.
