Registered Nurse (RN) – Geriatric Psychiatric / Medical-Surgical

Penn Highlands Healthcare is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for a Geriatric Psychiatric assignment in Brookville, Pennsylvania.

Position Details

Location: Brookville, PA

Facility: Penn Highlands Brookville

Specialty: Geriatric Psychiatry / Medical-Surgical

Open Positions: 2

Shift: 12-Hour Rotating Shifts

Schedule: Rotating between units as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 1 Year of RN Experience

• Current BLS Certification Required

• Active RN License

Unit Information

Primary Assignment:
• Medical-Surgical Unit

Secondary Assignment:
• Senior Transitions Unit (STU)

About the Senior Transitions Unit (STU)

The Senior Transitions Unit is a specialized medical geriatric psychiatric unit designed for patients age 55 and older. This secure, locked unit provides comprehensive psychiatric and medical care with a focus on:

• Psychiatric evaluation and treatment

• Medication stabilization and adjustment

• Safe discharge planning

• Medical management of concurrent health conditions

• Collaborative care involving psychiatrists, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals

Position Highlights
