POSITION DETAILS

• Position: ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
• Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week
• Start Date: ASAP (Must be able to start by 07/06/2026 or sooner)
• Floating Requirements: May be required to float to Medical-Surgical (MS) Unit and occasionally to the Emergency Room (ER)
• Patient Population: Critical Care / ICU Patients

REQUIREMENTS

• Active Louisiana RN License or Compact Multistate License
• Current AHA BLS Certification
• Current AHA ACLS Certification
• Minimum 4–5 years of ICU RN experience
• Must be comfortable floating to Medical-Surgical units based on census needs
• Ability to occasionally float to the Emergency Department
• Strong critical care assessment, monitoring, and intervention skills
• Experience caring for high-acuity and critically ill patients

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill ICU patients
• Perform patient assessments, monitoring, and ongoing evaluation of clinical status
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and critical care treatments
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and hemodynamic data
• Respond to medical emergencies and changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care needs
• Float to Medical-Surgical units as needed based on census and staffing requirements
• Occasionally assist in the Emergency Department when required
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and evidence-based nursing practices.
