Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join a leading acute care hospital. This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, performing both general and vascular ultrasound examinations while supporting high-quality diagnostic imaging services.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of general and vascular ultrasound procedures.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Provide compassionate patient care to individuals of all ages, including neonates, pediatric patients, and adults.
- Ensure proper patient positioning, exam preparation, and safety throughout procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records within the electronic medical record system.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare team members to support optimal patient outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- ARDMS credentials in:
- Abdomen (AB)
- Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN)
- Vascular Technology (VT)
Schedule & Call Requirements
- 5x8 Evening Shift
- Monday through Friday
- 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM
- Some on-call coverage required.
- Weekend call coverage may be required.
- Block scheduling may be accommodated based on facility needs.
Unit Information
- Performs both General and Vascular Ultrasound examinations.
- Serves a diverse patient population, including:
- Neonates
- Pediatric patients
- Adult patients
Assignment Details
- Local candidates are not accepted; permanent residence must be at least 50 miles from the facility.
- Time-off requests are reviewed individually upon offer.
- All requested time off must be included at the time of submission.
- Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours per two-week pay period.
- Travelers may be called off for up to one 8-hour shift every two weeks.
