Description
Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU/IMC/Stepdown
Facility: Springfield Memorial Hospital
- Shift: Days | 3x12s or 4x12s (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
- Experience: Minimum 1-year PCU/Stepdown experience required
- First-Time Travelers: Not accepted
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Certifications: BLS & NIHSS required; ACLS preferred
- License: Active Illinois RN license required at submission
- Floating: Required as needed within scope
- Call: None
- RTO: Preferably no more than 5 days
Required Experience
- PCU/IMC/Stepdown, Telemetry, and Neuro Stepdown
- Dysrhythmia interpretation & telemetry monitoring
- Cardiac, neuro, respiratory, renal, and post-surgical patient care
- IV therapy, central lines, PICC lines, blood products, and cardiac drips
- Ventilator, CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC, trach, chest tube, and wound care experience
Preferred
- Cerner experience
- Teaching hospital experience
- Level I Trauma experience

They were really quick about getting me a contract.
Cons
Staff constantly switched. My documents weren't sent to the school, resulting in a months lost pay. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get on touch with anyone to answer questions. I have been attempting to reach them for over a month with absolutely no response! They lose paperwork (tests, immunizations, background checks and fingerprints) resulting in even more lost work.
