Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and prepare patients before surgery.
- Serve as a Circulating Nurse during surgical procedures.
- Maintain a sterile and safe operating room environment.
- Monitor patients throughout the perioperative process.
- Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists during procedures.
- Coordinate surgical supplies, equipment, and implants.
- Document patient care and surgical events in Epic EMR.
- Participate in pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient care.
- Respond to trauma and emergency surgical cases.
- Float between UnityPoint campuses as needed.
- Take call shifts, including overnight and weekend call coverage.
Required Experience
- Minimum 24 months of current OR RN experience.
- Recent circulating experience required.
- Experience in:
- General Surgery
- Trauma
- Pediatrics
- Da Vinci Robotics
- Trauma Level II experience required.
- Epic EMR experience within the last 3 years.
- Previous travel assignment completed within the last 15 months (no first-time travelers).
