Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER) | Nights
 

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a travel assignment at a Magnet-designated Acute Care Hospital. This is a high-acuity Emergency Department caring for both adult and pediatric patients and offering exposure to advanced emergency and trauma-related procedures.
 

Assignment Details

• Shift: Nights (3x12 Hours)
• Schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Guaranteed Hours:
  • 36 Hours/Week (3x12s)
• Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
• On-Call Requirement: None
• Block Scheduling: Not Available

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience
• First-time travelers accepted
• Active state license required

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NIHSS

Note: RQI cards are not accepted.
 

Preferred Certifications

• CPI
• TNCC
• ENPC

Patient Ratios

• Days: 1:3
• Nights: 1:3
• Weekends: 1:3

Floating Requirements

Candidates must be willing to float within their scope of practice as needed.

Floating may include:

• Memorial Belleville
• Memorial East (Shiloh)
• Inpatient units based on competency and facility needs

Emergency & Trauma Care

• Triage
• Trauma patient management
• Code Stroke response
• Code STEMI response
• Code Blue response
• Sexual assault patient care
• Mental health patient management
• Pediatric emergency care and transfers

Advanced Procedures

Experience assisting with or managing:

• Central line insertions
• Arterial line insertions
• Chest tube procedures
• Intubations
• Post-cardiac arrest hypothermia protocols

Cardiac Care

• Dysrhythmia interpretation
• Dysrhythmia management
• Bedside cardiac monitoring

Respiratory Care

• Ventilator patient management

IV Therapy & Sedation

• Starting and maintaining IVs
• Continuous IV sedation
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring

Equipment Utilized

• Rapid Infuser
• Hypothermia Equipment
• Glide Scope
• Bedside Cardiac Monitoring Systems
• Ultrasound
• Infant Warmers

Interdisciplinary Support
