Surgical Tech (OR) – Multiple Openings
Peoria, Illinois
Direct Hire | Acute Care
Compensation Highlights
- $981 – $1,539/week (depending on unit & shift)
- Sign-On Bonus: Up to $15,000 (Orthopedic role – 2-year commitment)
- Weekend Shift Differential: +$2.50/hr
- Relocation assistance available (discussed during interview)

Orthopedic Surgical Tech – 1 Opening
- 4x10s (Days, 40 hrs/week)
- Weekly Pay: $1,090 – $1,539
- Focus: Total joints, fractures, ortho trauma
Neuro Surgical Tech / OR RN Circulator – 2 Openings
- 4x10s (Days, 40 hrs/week) + Call
- Weekly Pay: $1,090 – $1,539
- Focus: Spine, craniotomies, advanced neuro cases
General Surgery Surgical Tech – 2 Openings
- Flexible shifts (36 hrs/week) – Days/Mids/Nights available
- Weekly Pay: $981 – $1,385
- Focus: General, robotics, ENT, urology, GYN
Responsibilities
- Scrub and assist in surgical procedures across specialty area
- Maintain sterile field and prepare surgical instruments
- Assist surgical team during procedures
- Float as needed to other OR specialties (minimal frequency)
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Surgical Tech experience (no new grads)
- Specialty experience required:
- Ortho: At least 1 year orthopedic cases
- Neuro: Neuro OR experience (spine, cranial cases required)
- General: Robotics (DaVinci), general surgery, ENT, urology, GYN
- BLS (AHA) required
- Graduate of accredited Surgical Tech program or military training
- Certification preferred: NBSTSA (preferred) or NCCT (accepted)
Facility Overview
- Level I Trauma Center
- High-volume OR:
- General Surgery: 20–40 cases/day
- Ortho: 20–25 cases/day
- Neuro: ~200 surgeries/month
- Charting: EPIC (Optime)
- Supportive OR team with charge nurse & 24/7 supervision
Scheduling & Call
- Day shifts primarily (0700–1730 typical)
- Call rotation required:
- Weeknights: 1–2 per week
- Weekends: ~1/month
- Call response time: 30 minutes
Additional Details
- Floating possible but not common
- Scrubs provided by facility
- Orientation: 1–2 days (unit-specific)
- Drug-free campus (negative screening required)
