Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Job Description
- Work at a Level II trauma hospital.
- Must have experience in Operating Room (OR), Fluoroscopy, Portables, Level II Trauma, Endoscopy, Inpatient/Outpatient settings.
- Equipment used includes Shimadzu with Konica and Fuji DR panel, GE OEC c-arm, Shimadzu and Siemens fluoroscopy equipment.
- Use of EPIC EMR system.
- Uniform: Charcoal grey scrubs.
- No on-call required.
- Work schedule includes Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday blocks, with every other holiday worked.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in Ohio
- Radiology Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
- Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong Operating Room (OR) experience
- Large hospital experience
- Fluoroscopy experience
- Portable radiography experience
- Level II trauma radiography experience
- Endoscopy radiography experience
- Inpatient and outpatient (IP/OP) radiography experience
Preferred / Additional Information
- Experience with Shimadzu, Siemens, and GE fluoroscopy equipment is beneficial.
- Experience with EPIC EMR system preferred.
- Large hospital and trauma center experience preferred.
- No prior travel experience explicitly required.
- Must be willing to work night shifts and every other holiday.
- Must be located more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible.
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Background check must be completed within 1 year prior to start.
- Drug screen must be negative and current.
- Physical exam must confirm no work restrictions.
- Respirator fit test or medical clearance for PAPR if unable to fit mask.
- Immunizations and titers must be current or have approved exemptions.
- Fingerprinting clearance required before or on orientation day.
- Must provide proof of Ohio Radiologic License and ARRT certification.
- Must complete all required competency exams and safety acknowledgments.
- Must have valid driver's license if driving is part of job duties.
Summary
This travel contract position for an X-Ray Tech requires a minimum of 2 years of radiology experience with strong OR and trauma hospital exposure. Candidates must hold ARRT certification and an Ohio Radiologic License, be BLS certified, and meet all health, background, and compliance requirements. The role involves night shifts in a Level II trauma hospital with no on-call duties. Prior travel experience is not required, but candidates must live more than 100 miles from the facility to qualify.
