Description
RN – Telemetry (Night & Days Shift) | ASAP Start
Epic experience required
Important Requirements:
- Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience
- At least 6 months of recent Telemetry experience
- Epic EMR experience required
Schedule
- Shift: Nights & Days Shift
- Start Date: ASAP
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On-Call Requirement: None
Unit Details
- Patient Population: Cardiac and Telemetry patients
- Not a Step-Down Unit
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: Typically 5:1 to 6:1, depending on staffing levels
- Temp-to-Perm opportunity available
Required Certifications & Licensure
- Active RN License in the state of employment or Compact License
- Current BLS Certification (AHA)
- Current ACLS Certification (AHA)
Position Summary
The Registered Nurse practices independently in a clinical setting and demonstrates sound clinical judgment while providing routine and complex patient care. The RN utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process
- Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
- Monitor treatment effectiveness and identify adverse reactions
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans and healthcare needs
- Delegate tasks appropriately and collaborate with other healthcare professionals
- Address the physical, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferred
- Telemetry experience strongly preferred
Orientation & Onboarding
- New experienced RNs are required to attend New Nurse Orientation within the first 30 days
- Comprehensive onboarding and competency validation process
- Unit-specific competency training provided
- Annual competency requirements must be maintained
