Schedule

• Nights: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 or 48 hours/week available
• No call required
• 6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent Med Surg experience
• First-time travelers accepted
• BLS required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Pending NM or Compact license accepted (must be active before start)

Unit Information

• 32-bed Med Surg unit
• Average daily census: 32
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6
• Adult and geriatric patients
• Rapid Response Team available
• Strong interdisciplinary support including:
  • Physical Therapy
  • Respiratory Therapy
  • Pharmacy
  • Radiology
  • Social Services
  • Unit Secretary

Floating

• Required to float to like units as needed
• Brief orientation provided on floated units

Skills Preferred

• Blood product administration
• Central line and PICC care
• Chest tubes
• Feeding tubes
• Heparin and insulin management
• HFNC
• IV starts and maintenance
• Pre/Post Hemodialysis care
• Wound vac and wound care

Additional Information

• 50-mile radius rule applies (locals not accepted)
• Maximum of 4 days RTO can be auto-approved
• All RTO must be submitted upfront
• Previous employees must wait 1 year before returning as travelers
• No interview required
