Job Title: Registered Nurse – BMT (Bone Marrow Transplant)

Location: Seattle, WA 98195
Shift Timing: Day & Night 3x12-hour shifts (07:00–19:00 / 19:30–07:30), rotating
Schedule: 3x12s, every other weekend, floating required within scope
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks with possible extension
Start Date: 07/20/2026

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with inpatient oncology experience to join a high-acuity 30-bed Blood and Marrow Transplant (BMT), Immunotherapy, and Hematology/Oncology unit. The RN will provide comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing complex oncologic and transplant treatments in a Magnet, teaching hospital environment. EPIC charting experience is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care for BMT, leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma patients
• Administer and monitor chemotherapy and biotherapy treatments
• Manage central lines, ports, PICC lines, and IV infusions
• Monitor and respond to oncologic emergencies (sepsis, tumor lysis syndrome, anaphylaxis, etc.)
• Deliver blood and blood product transfusions safely
• Maintain neutropenic and infection control precautions
• Assess and manage symptoms including pain, nausea, neuropathy, and mucositis
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-care needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including pharmacy, PT, respiratory, and social services
• Float to similar medical oncology units as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license (WA or compact eligible)
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient oncology experience required
• AHA - BLS certification required
• ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Experience with 1:3–1:5 patient ratios preferred
• Prior experience in teaching hospitals preferred
• Strong knowledge of oncology and BMT care standards
