🚀 Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) – Kenosha, WI

Location: Kenosha, WI

Position Type: Travel Contract (Great for First-Time Travelers!)

Shift: 5x8-Hour Day Shifts (40 hours/week) | Flex start times between 06:30 AM – 08:00 AM

Setting: Hospital (Level IV Trauma Center & Primary Stroke Center) & Outpatient Cancer Center

📋 Job Overview

Join a supportive, collaborative imaging team in Kenosha, WI. This 74-80 bed facility is looking for a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to handle a mix of general, cardiac, and PET/CT workloads. This assignment offers an excellent environment for both seasoned travelers and first-time travelers looking to get their foot in the door.

💼 Key Responsibilities & Workload

  • Daily Workflow: Perform high-quality imaging for Inpatient, Outpatient, and Emergency Department cases.
  • Case Mix: Manage a diverse caseload including Cardiac, GI, Pulmonary, Oncology, PET scans, and DAT scans.
  • Volume & Staffing: Work alongside 2–3 techs daily handling 7–18 patients.
  • Independent PET Workflow: Transition to the PET rotation during the second half of the contract. PET operates independently, managing 5 patient slots per day.
  • Floating: Safely float to the Cancer Center located just 1 mile (a quick 5-minute drive) away for PET imaging.

🛠️ Key Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Certifications: Active NMTCB and BLS required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with IV starts, basic NM practices, and SPECT CT is required.
  • Systems (Preferred): Experience with EPIC, Client 850 equipment, McKesson PACS, and Nuc Trak is a major plus.

🕒 Schedule & Call Requirements

  • Orientation: 12 hours of focused onboarding to learn the department flow.
  • Weekday Call: 1 shift per week from End of Shift (EOS) until 06:00 AM the following morning.
  • Weekend Call: Rotation is call-only. Expect 1 weekend every 4 weeks (EOS Friday until Monday at 06:00 AM).
  • Holidays: Call rotation only; potential for a maximum of 1 holiday call shift per contract.
  • Time Off: Requested Time Off (RTO) is accepted and subject to manager approval.
