Location: Olympia, WA
Shift: Days | 10-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Facility: Acute Care Hospital – Outpatient Imaging Department

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist for a travel assignment in Olympia, Washington. This position is based in a busy outpatient imaging department and requires a skilled technologist who is proficient in both screening and diagnostic mammography procedures. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care while producing high-quality diagnostic images in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations according to established protocols.
- Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Review images for quality and repeat studies as necessary to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
- Educate and support patients throughout imaging procedures while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
- Enter and maintain accurate patient and imaging documentation within the EMR and PACS systems.
- Follow radiation safety guidelines and departmental quality assurance standards.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and imaging department staff to ensure efficient patient care.
- Maintain equipment functionality and report operational concerns as needed.
- Adhere to all facility policies, infection prevention standards, and regulatory requirements.

- Approximately 20-minute appointment slots
- Patient Ratio: 1:1
- No Call
- No Weekend Rotation
- No Holiday Requirement
- Floating: None
- Primarily scheduled with Thursdays off (subject to change)
- Gray Scrubs Required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Mammography Technologist experience.
- First-time travelers accepted.
- Active Washington State Radiologic Technologist License required.
- ARRT (Mammography) Certification required.
- Experience performing Screening Mammography required.
- Experience performing Diagnostic Mammography required.
- Bone Densitometry experience preferred but not required.
- Strong patient care, positioning, and image quality assessment skills.

- ARRT (Mammography)
- Washington State Radiologic Technologist License
- BLS Certification
