Description
Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
Location: Española, New Mexico
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 4x10-Hour Day Shifts (40 Hours/Week)
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care to surgical patients.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care throughout the surgical process.
- Scrub and assist during surgical procedures as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection prevention, and quality standards.
- Float between departments and/or nearby facilities within a 20-mile radius as required.
Requirements
✔ Active New Mexico RN License or Compact RN License
✔ Current BLS Certification
✔ Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience in a large OR setting
✔ Must be able to scrub surgical cases
✔ Must have completed at least one 13-week travel assignment
✔ Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Epic experience preferred (training available)
- ACLS Certification preferred
- PALS Certification preferred
- Experience with Orthopedic, EENT (Eye, Ear, Nose & Throat), and Vascular procedures

Staff constantly switched. My documents weren't sent to the school, resulting in a months lost pay. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get on touch with anyone to answer questions. I have been attempting to reach them for over a month with absolutely no response! They lose paperwork (tests, immunizations, background checks and fingerprints) resulting in even more lost work.
