Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ultrasound Procedures:
-Responsible for appropriate operation of all Ultrasound Imaging and related equipment.
-Appropriately educates, positions, immobilizes and performs Ultrasound procedures.
-Coordinates Ultrasound examination to ensure timeliness, quality and continuity of patient care.
-Understands and follows provider Imaging orders correctly.
-Submits required images and related clinical information to the Radiologist for interpretation.
-Appropriately evaluates image quality.
-Open, accurate, and responsive communication to patients, coworkers, Radiologists and leadership.
-Appropriately utilizes, charges and maintains department supplies.
-Practices sterile technique and follows infection prevention policies.
-Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines.
-Safely performs Ultrasound procedures including patient transfer.
Schedule Notes: Shift: Monday-Friday 8a-500p - 1hr Lunch
OnCall: No
Skills Set: Anatomy scans & OB/GYN scans (pelvic and transvaginal)
Years of Experience:
o 2 years of experience - Preferred
o EPIC Experience - Preferred
Skills Set: Anatomy scans & OB/GYN scans (pelvic and transvaginal) - 12 scans total per day
Certifications:
ARDMS (OB/GYN) - REQUIRED
o RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) - Preferred
BLS (AHA) - REQUIRED
