Travel Endoscopy Technician (Endo Tech) – Paducah, KY
Location: Paducah, Kentucky
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
On-Call: After-hours, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Endoscopy Technician (Endo Tech) to join a leading healthcare facility in Paducah, KY. The Endo Tech will work closely with physicians and nursing staff to provide high-quality patient care during endoscopic procedures while ensuring proper preparation, maintenance, and processing of endoscopy equipment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare procedure rooms with appropriate endoscopy equipment and supplies.
- Assist physicians and nurses during endoscopic procedures.
- Set up patient monitoring equipment and assist with patient positioning.
- Clean, disinfect, and maintain endoscopy equipment and scopes.
- Support efficient room turnover between procedures.
- Restock supplies and maintain inventory within the Endoscopy Suite.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and patient safety standards.
- Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs as needed.
- Assist with shipping and tracking scopes requiring repair.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Float to other departments as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous Endoscopy Technician, GI Tech, Surgical Tech, or related procedural experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to patient safety and infection prevention practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
- SGNA Associates Program completion preferred.
- Current BLS Certification preferred.
