• Position: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
• Facility: Canyon Vista Medical Center
• Department: ARU (Acute Rehabilitation Unit)
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks (91 Days)
• Guaranteed Hours: 32 Hours/Week

Schedule

• Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Days: Monday – Friday
• Weekend Coverage: Rotational coverage for one weekend day as needed

Facility Information

• Setting: Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU)
• Beds: 10
• EMR Systems: Cerner and NetHealth

Required Qualifications

• Active SLP License (State License Required)
• Experience in rehabilitation and patient therapy settings
• Ability to float to Med-Surg if needed (rare occurrence)

• Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU)
• Inpatient Rehabilitation
• Adult and Geriatric Patient Care
• Functional Communication Therapy
• Cognitive Therapy
• Dysphagia/Swallow Evaluations
• Speech and Language Assessments
• Treatment Planning and Documentation
• Cerner and NetHealth experience

Floating

• May float to Med-Surg units as needed (rare)

Dress Code

• Any scrub color permitted
• Non-skid footwear required

Parking

• Designated parking area behind the hospital
• Additional parking available outside the perimeter of the front hospital lot
