Are you seeking to work as a Direct Hire LBS1 Special Education teacher in a Therapeutic Day School near Lisle, IL?  We are looking for 2-3 Special Ed Teachers for Elementary and Transitional ages.  There might be a need for Jr High as well.  The Special Ed Teachers will work in a highly- collaborative and dynamic school in a self-contained classroom of students to work year-round in our school.   If you enjoy working with kids with autism spectrum disorders, this may be the job for you!

This private school works with children of all ages with autism spectrum disorders and strives to meet the needs of each individual with creative, evidence-based therapy. If you're looking for a year-round school environment where you can work closely with the students you serve and with a team of dedicated professionals, then this position is for you!

Qualifications: Must hold a Bachelors Degree (or higher) in Special Education and have the LBS1 certification. Autism experience required. Pediatric experience strongly preferred

* Seeking an LBS1 certified Special Education Teacher for a full-time position in the vicinity of Lisle, IL 
* School day is from 7:45am-3:45pm daily during the regular school year and will need to be available to work ESY/Summer school 745am - 115pm
* The school has multiple needs based on your preference of age:  Elementary (2-4th) and Transitional ages (18-22 years old), with a possibility for JR High (5-8th) as well.  
* Many of the students have higher maladaptive behaviors so someone who is comfortable and willing to work with students with higher needs 
* Caseload is 8 students and all have autism; caseload has a wide variety of sensory, social/emotional, functional and academic needs and abilities. 
* You will have a Para who will be your right-hand person daily and be the sub when you are out
* You'll work in a fast-paced environment using a multi-disciplinary team approach 
* Candidates are expected to be committed team players 
* No travel/one school  

Start date is August 12th, with students staring August 18th

Through May 2027

Estimated Salary: $60,000-$80,000
