Description
LPN / Ambulatory Clinic Nurse – Primary Care
Facility Type: Ambulatory Primary Care Clinic (Family Medicine & Internal Medicine)
Must Have
- Active LPN license
- BLS Certification
- Completion of an approved nursing education program
- Minimum 1 year of ambulatory/clinic experience
- Experience with primary care patient populations
- EPIC experience in an ambulatory clinic (required)
- Strong patient assessment and triage skills
- Ability to assist with minor office procedures
- Experience documenting patient care in EMR systems
Preferred
- Primary Care experience
- Family Medicine and Internal Medicine experience
- IV start experience
- Previous traveler experience
- Experience caring for patients across the lifespan
Schedule
- Days: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Monday–Friday clinic hours
- No call required
- No weekend rotation
- Floating to other clinic locations as needed
- 40 Guaranteed Hours
Key Responsibilities
- Room and prepare patients for provider visits
- Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints
- Assist providers with examinations and minor in-office procedures
- Administer medications and injections per provider orders
- Start IVs when needed
- Provide patient education regarding medications, treatments, and chronic disease management
- Coordinate care and communicate with providers and multidisciplinary staff
- Document patient encounters accurately in EPIC
- Prepare procedure rooms and maintain supplies
- Serve as chaperone during procedures such as IUD insertion/removal, Nexplanon insertion/removal, incision and drainage, and toenail removal procedures
- Support preventive care visits, annual wellness exams, and chronic disease follow-up appointments
