LPN / Ambulatory Clinic Nurse – Primary Care

Facility Type: Ambulatory Primary Care Clinic (Family Medicine & Internal Medicine)

Must Have

• Active LPN license
• BLS Certification
• Completion of an approved nursing education program
• Minimum 1 year of ambulatory/clinic experience
• Experience with primary care patient populations
• EPIC experience in an ambulatory clinic (required)
• Strong patient assessment and triage skills
• Ability to assist with minor office procedures
• Experience documenting patient care in EMR systems

Preferred

• Primary Care experience
• Family Medicine and Internal Medicine experience
• IV start experience
• Previous traveler experience
• Experience caring for patients across the lifespan

Schedule

• Days: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Monday–Friday clinic hours
• No call required
• No weekend rotation
• Floating to other clinic locations as needed
• 40 Guaranteed Hours

Key Responsibilities

• Room and prepare patients for provider visits
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints
• Assist providers with examinations and minor in-office procedures
• Administer medications and injections per provider orders
• Start IVs when needed
• Provide patient education regarding medications, treatments, and chronic disease management
• Coordinate care and communicate with providers and multidisciplinary staff
• Document patient encounters accurately in EPIC
• Prepare procedure rooms and maintain supplies
• Serve as chaperone during procedures such as IUD insertion/removal, Nexplanon insertion/removal, incision and drainage, and toenail removal procedures
• Support preventive care visits, annual wellness exams, and chronic disease follow-up appointments
