Description

Start Date: July 13, 2026
Shift: Nights, 5×8-hour shifts (11:00 PM–7:30 AM)

Responsibilities

Administer medications and monitor patients' physical and mental health.
Observe for suicidal behavior, aggression, psychosis, withdrawal symptoms, and safety risks.
Use de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques.
Document assessments, vital signs, and patient activities in Epic.
Assist with admissions, discharges, and treatment plans.
Follow restraint, seclusion, and safety protocols when necessary.
Communicate patient status changes to RNs, physicians, and the treatment team.
Provide basic nursing care, patient education, and emotional support in a locked inpatient psychiatric unit.

Required Qualifications Active California LVN License BLS (AHA or ARC) CPI, ProAct, PMAB, MOAB, or Handle With Care certification Community hospital experience At least 1 year experience listed, but Sutter submission rules note 2 years experience generally required Recent inpatient psychiatric experience strongly preferred Charting: Epic (must have used within last 6 months)

They were really quick about getting me a contract.

Cons

Staff constantly switched. My documents weren't sent to the school, resulting in a months lost pay. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get on touch with anyone to answer questions. I have been attempting to reach them for over a month with absolutely no response! They lose paperwork (tests, immunizations, background checks and fingerprints) resulting in even more lost work.
