Description
Position Details
- Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week
- Shift: Nights – 7:00 PM to 7:15 AM
- Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend and Holidays
- Call Requirement: None
- Local Candidates: Accepted within 50 miles (for one 13-week contract only)
Schedule
- 3 x 12-hour night shifts
- 36-hour weekly guarantee
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday rotation required
Required Experience
- Minimum 2+ years of Med/Surg RN experience
- Med/Surg Observation experience required
- Experience caring for Oncology, Observation, Hospice, and Medical-Surgical patients
- Recent specialty experience preferred
Required Certifications & Licensure
- Active Michigan RN License (LARA/Nursys verification required)
- BLS (AHA) certification
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Monitor patient progress and update care plans as needed
- Evaluate patient responses to treatment
- Supervise and delegate patient care activities to support staff
- Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members
