Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Job Description

• Minimum of 18 months recent Operating Room (OR) experience required.
• Experience must include scrubbing and circulating in robotic, genitourinary (GU), gynecology (GYN), and general surgery cases.
• Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing cases, taking call on nights and weekends, performing accurate counts, and handling specimens.
• Must be a team player.

Shift Details

• Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• Total 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio.
• Minimum of 1.5 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, with OR experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Background check required prior to start, including a 7-year FCRA-compliant search. Must be updated annually and after breaks in service of 2+ months.
• Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required.
• FBI and BCI fingerprinting required within 12 months, updated annually. Must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing. Facility will also conduct fingerprinting onsite.
• Primary source verification of RN license within 30 days of start. License must be current and name must match all documents.
• Nursys verification within 30 days of start.
• Two professional references required from employment within the last year (manager, supervisor, charge nurse, or director).

Orientation and Training

• Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start is mandatory. Modules must be completed on a computer using Google Chrome and cannot be skipped.
• Baseline competency exams in medication administration and ECG interpretation required for all bedside RNs except OR RNs.
• Photo for badge required (headshot, shoulders up, white background).

Additional Notes

• Candidates must carry a government-issued photo ID and driver’s license while on assignment.
• Candidates must be prepared to take call on nights and weekends.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
