Description

Responsibilities:

  • Provide respiratory care in Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department settings
  • Manage ventilators (Servo I), including setup, monitoring, troubleshooting, and weaning
  • Perform airway management: intubation assist, extubation, tracheostomy care, suctioning, oxygen therapy (HFNC, BiPAP, CPAP)
  • Administer respiratory medications via MDI, nebulizers, and aerosol systems (e.g., Albuterol, Atrovent, Pulmicort, Xopenex)
  • Interpret ABGs and assist with respiratory diagnostics and trauma care (EtCO₂ monitoring)
  • Support bronchoscopy procedures and pulmonary hygiene activities
  • Collect sputum specimens and maintain airway clearance protocols
  • Document care using Meditech EMR system
Requirements: CRT or RRT certification required Rhode Island Respiratory Care license (can be pending but must be active before start) BLS required, ACLS preferred Minimum 1 year experience (first-time travelers accepted) Experience in ICU/ED preferred Skills in ventilator management, airway procedures, and critical care respiratory therapy

They were really quick about getting me a contract.

Cons

Staff constantly switched. My documents weren't sent to the school, resulting in a months lost pay. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get on touch with anyone to answer questions. I have been attempting to reach them for over a month with absolutely no response! They lose paperwork (tests, immunizations, background checks and fingerprints) resulting in even more lost work.
