Description

Certified Surgical Tech (OR) – Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain sterile operating rooms before procedures.
Set up surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
Ensure all surgical tools are sterilized and functioning properly.
Assist surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia providers during procedures.
Pass instruments and supplies to the surgical team while maintaining sterile technique.
Anticipate surgeon needs during operations.
Perform surgical counts of instruments, needles, and sponges.
Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and transport as needed.
Help maintain patient safety and infection control standards.
Clean and restock operating rooms after procedures.

Requirements

Required:

Certified Surgical Technologist experience in the Operating Room.
BLS Certification.
CRCST CERTIFICATE
Experience with:
- General Surgery
- GYN
- Robotics
- Neuro Surgery
- Orthopedics
- Plastic Surgery
- Urology
- Burn Surgery
- Trauma Surgery
Experience working in a fast-paced acute care hospital setting.
