Travel RN – Oncology / BMT (Bone Marrow Transplant)
Location: Medical City Dallas – Dallas, TX
Shift: Night (19:00–07:00)
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) for a high-acuity Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) and Oncology unit. The RN will provide specialized care to patients undergoing chemotherapy, stem cell transplants, and CAR-T therapy while working in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to oncology and BMT patients
- Administer and manage chemotherapy safely (ONS standards)
- Care for transplant patients (autologous, allogeneic, haploidentical, matched/unmatched)
- Support CAR-T therapy patients
- Perform advanced assessments and monitor patient status
- Interpret telemetry and assist with IV drip titration (PCU-level care)
- Educate patients and families on treatment and side effects
- Document care using Meditech EMR
- Follow safety protocols and participate in bedside shift reporting
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Oncology nursing experience required
- BLS & ACLS required
- ONS Chemotherapy Certification required prior to start
- Ability to care for PCU-level acuity patients
- Telemetry interpretation skills

- BMT experience
- CAR-T experience
- Travel nursing experience
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
Unit Overview
- 40-bed Oncology/BMT unit
- Nurse ratio: ~1:3 (up to 1:4 based on staffing)
- Support staff: PCTs + unit clerks (day shift)
- Equipment: bedside monitors, lift assist devices
- EMR: Meditech
- Travelers float first
