Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Location: Paris Regional Medical Center – Paris, TX
Shift: 18:45 – 07:00 (Night Shift)
Facility Type: Level III Trauma Center / Level I NICU

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive maternal and newborn care in a high-acuity L&D unit. The RN will manage laboring patients, support deliveries (vaginal and cesarean), and provide postpartum care while collaborating closely with physicians and the care team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage laboring patients and provide continuous maternal-fetal monitoring
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and circulate cesarean sections
• Provide OB triage and assess pregnancy-related complications
• Deliver patient education and emotional support to mothers and families
• Monitor fetal heart patterns using EFM
• Administer medications and IV therapy as ordered
• Respond to obstetric emergencies and stabilize patients when needed
• Document care using GE Centricity and Meditech systems
• Collaborate with OB providers, anesthesia, and neonatal teams

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas or compact eligible)
• Minimum 2+ years of Labor & Delivery experience
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN, PALS, HWC certifications required prior to start
• Ability to work independently in labor management
• Experience with OB triage and C-section circulation

Preferred Skills

• Strong experience in high-risk L&D settings
• Confident in emergency obstetric care
• Ability to manage multiple acuity levels (1:1 to 1:3 ratio)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Unit Overview

• 9-bed Labor & Delivery unit
• Patient ratio: 1:1 to 1:3 depending on acuity
• Equipment: EFM, IV pumps, NIBP monitoring
• EMR: GE Centricity & Meditech
• Floating and call may be required as needed
