🏥 Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a Med/Surg Oncology unit. In this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cancer treatment, supporting both their physical and emotional well-being.
You will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while adhering to best practices and clinical standards.
🔍 Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Provide direct and indirect nursing care to oncology patients
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies
- Perform health teaching and counseling for patients and families
- Monitor and evaluate treatment responses and adjust care plans accordingly
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with hospital standards
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams
- Delegate tasks and supervise support staff as appropriate
- Float to other units as needed based on patient care demands
✅ Requirements
- Active RN License (state of practice required)
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required (BSN preferred)
- BLS (AHA) Certification required
- Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP as applicable
Experience:
- Previous RN experience required
- Oncology or Med/Surg experience preferred
